History

Certified Slings & Supply’s strong tradition of innovation and service began in 1958 and expanded with our family’s ownership since 1978. Our current leadership is made up of dedicated second and third generation family members; along with long term team members with over 200 years combined experience in the rigging, overhead lifting, load securement and contractor supply industry. On December 13, 2022, Bishop Lifting, a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners, announced the acquisition of the Worswick Group Holdings, with operating locations across Florida.

Ron Worswick, father and life mentor affectionately known by his team as “Mr. W”, knew that the success of Certified Slings, Inc. was directly in the hands of his team. His philosophy was simple, “Be humble, be proud, take care of your team and they will take care of our customers. Everything else will take care of itself.”

This philosophy along with a strong commitment focused on our three core values of service, quality and team are the foundation that continues to carry on my father’s legacy and guide our company today.

It was so important we partnered with a company that was a culture and value fit to carry on our family tradition and legacy and I couldn’t be happier with The Bishop Lifting operations team and Altamont Capital ownership team. I feel we combined three very good teams that make one passionate and committed team delivering solutions with outstanding quality and service to our valued customers. We are excited to offer expanded product lines and services while adding over 100 years of industry knowledge & experience to assist you, our customers.
